For Māori Midwives residing and working in Te Waipounamu

Kaupapa: The first part of this wānaka will introduce the website Hākui a resource for Māori midwives and whānau in Te Waipounamu. The second part of this wānaka will introduce in more depth the oriori resource within the Hākui website. Ariana Tikao and Karuna Thurlow will be facilitating this session and assisting attendees to understand more about this form of waiata and how they can be used with and for whānau and pēpi. They will also be given the opportunity to compose their own oriori.
